Optimism has taken over the wine scene in Croatia... Finally, the measures have started to ease, so one can normally drink coffee in Croatian cafeterias, and we have already received announcements of an exciting eventful spring for wine lovers in Croatia and the come back of wine events. Organizers have already announced dates and locations of the wine festivals which will be held in accordance with valid anti-epidemic measures. Undoubtedly, both the winemakers and the wine audience anxiously await wine events and a new opportunity to explore newcomers on the wine market. Hard work has been done in the wine cellars during the pandemic, and now is the moment to show new wines.
23rd-24th April, 2021 - ZADAR WINE FESTIVAL
Wine festival held in Zadar's Arsenal venue that brings together winemakers, caterers, hoteliers and all wine lovers. The city of Zadar, its hinterland and islands form a significant market for sale of the top Croatian and imported wines. Zadar Wine Festival is an exceptional opportunity to get to know local trump cards when it comes to wine.
30th April - 1st May, 2021 - VINART GRAND TASTING ZAGREB
A trade event in Zagreb that brought to the region the practice of world-known wine festivals. The exclusivity of this festival lies in the fact that winemakers are selected and invited by the organizer to exhibit their wines which are deemed leaders in quality within a specific price range. Vinart Grand Tasting will be held at Lauba Gallery in Zagreb.
7th-9th May, 2021 - VINISTRA & THE WORLD OF MALVAZIJA
The Association of Winemakers and vinegrowers of Istria is already preparing this year's edition of Vinistra in Poreč, where the new vintages of Istrian wines will be presented. Traditionally, the best overture for Vinistra is the international wine competition that will take place at Parentium Hotel in Poreč in the course of April, whilst the competition results will be announced during Vinistra.
18th-19th May, 2021 - VINA OD DAVNINA (WINES SINCE ANCIENT TIMES)
Zagreb's Lauba will welcome winemakers and wine lovers who want to discover diversity and authenticity of wines made from indigenous Croatian grape varieties.
21st-22nd May, 2021 - TRAMINAC FESTIVAL
Traminer Festival at Principovac Castle in the town of Ilok brings together numerous exclusive exhibitors and an exciting program of tastings and workshops. After only 3 years, the event has become the most important wine event in the region dedicated to Traminac grape variety.
29th May, 2021 - PINK DAY ZAGREB
The 8th edition of the festival dedicated to rosé wines will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb.
11th June, 2021 - SPARKLING WINE SALON
This year's edition of the Sparkling Wine Salon in Zagreb will be held at the Esplanada Hotel. In addition to exhibiting the best sparkling wines from Croatia and the region, a segment of the event is also dedicated to pairing food and sparkling wines.
