On November 20th, a toast was raised ahead of traditional feast at the Young Wine Festival organized by the Macedonian Tikveš Winery. Due to epidemiological concerns, the festival has been held online this year, and the organizers point out that this online gathering attracted 2,000 visitors on the zoom platform and had more than 14,000 views on the FB page of Tikveš Winery.

Vlatko Stefanovski, Tijana Dapčević, The Frajle, Rade Šerbedžija, the Association of Jazz Musicians from North Macedonia and celebrities from the world of wine and business took part in the program.

The guests such as: Pau Roca, Peter McCombie MW, Caroline Gilby MW, Vuk Vuletić, Philippe Cambie, Milčo Mančevski and many others, raised their glasses filled with Tikveš wine.

Two-and-a-half-hour-long program brimming with emotions was broadcast from the winery premises in Kavadarci and from Wine Q Center in Belgrade to numerous winelovers from across the region and many other countries around the world.

Experts described the process of quality wine production, the new harvest, wine evaluation system as well as local winemaking tradition.

This was an event that aimed to show that borders and epidemics cannot be an obstacle. This year it has been held online, but the organizers hope to meet in person again next year.
