#PROKUPAC DAY, THIS TIME NEXT YEAR...

Thank you.

Thanks to all of you who took a glass of Prokupac in hand yesterday, all of  you who believed us, participated and showed that it's feasible. Thanks to all of you who understand importance of showing that Prokupac is a great variety, that our winemakers have something to show and that we deserve a place on the world wine map.

Thanks to our friends, journalists and bloggers, thanks to sommeliers and restaurateurs, thanks to numerous wine enthusiasts in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Kragujevac, Zlatibor, Subotica, Aleksandrovac, Niš ... Thanks to the Ministry of Agriculture, which gave its support to our event, thanks to Tanjug, B92, Radio Television of  Vojvodina, Dnevnik and all other media who allocated their prime time yesterday to tell the story about Prokupac.

Thanks also to #winelover community, wine tasters, wine writers, all Masters of Wine, and all others in Scandinavia, London, Zagreb, Budapest, Zurich, Banja Luka, Germany, Sofia, Skopje, New York who drank and celebrated Prokupac with us.

Finally, the most important is to thank  Serbian winemakers. Primarily, the winemakers from Župa because they guarded, preserved and brought to life Prokupac, then all those winemakers in Šumadija, Pomoravlje, Krajina, Smederevo, Mlava, Valjevo and other regions who are planting Prokupac now or intend to do it so that Prokupac returns where it once grew. Thanks to all the winemakers who supported #ProkupacDay.

Yesterday, on 14th October 2016, social networks were flooded with Prokupac. In over 50 restaurants, wine shops and wine bars, as well as hundreds of homes, merry people opened, poured, celebrated and drank Prokupac.

It is important that we all continue to talk tomorrow stories about Tamjanika; Grašac, Probus, Morava, Začinak, Smederevka or Kadarka ...but also about Sauvignon from Šumadija, Grigio from Morava, Cabernet from Negotin, Merlot from Potisje, Riesling from Fruška Gora and all other authentic wines that bear distinctive character of the region they come from.
