The organizers of the wine competition Danube Wine Challenge 2022 (which takes place in Slovakia (Chateau Bela) from June 1st to June 4th, 2022,  and it's dedicated to wines from the Danube countries) have invited winemakers from wine regions located near the Danube River to  take part in the competition for the best wines of the Danube region. The Danube countries share a historical, cultural, wine and gastronomic tradition.

The panel of judges at the competition includes reputed international wine experts: oenologists, sommeliers, wine critics and journalists, holders of the Master of Wine title, etc.

In addition to the silver, gold and large gold medals, the best wines will also be awarded the Vinofed award (for the best dry still wine), the trophy for the best Frankovka of the Danube region and the best Grüner Veltliner of the Danube region. A special award is also given for the best orange wine of the Danube region.

Wine entries for the competition are possible until May 20th, 2022. The registration fee for participation in the competition is 50 EUR (VAT not included) per sample.
