The 8th International Wine Festival INTERFEST 2011 took place in the period from 30th June till 2nd July, 2011 at Freedom Square (Trg Slobode), in Novi Sad. Surely, this wine  festival holds a significant place in the calendar of wine events in Serbia. This year, about 100 exhibitors from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, FYROM, Hungary, Italy and Spain presented their wines at this festival.

The festival was open for visitors daily from 18h till 00h. Each festival evening, visitors also had an opportunity to hear renowned music bands and artists whose music spiced up the festival atmosphere. Alongside the festival's must-have "vojvodinian tambura-players", popular music bands from Novi Sad "Frajle" also performed, as well as Studio Alektik and Aleksandar Dujin orchestra.

Highlight of this year's festival is the first presentation of Zvonko Bogdan winery among exhibitors, so Zvonko Bogdan himself welcomed visitors at the stall of this winery during the first festival day and introduced new wines from Subotica.

Organizer of Interfest 2011 intended to bring together wine lovers and wine enthusiasts, in other words, consumers, and wine professionals, i.e. wine producers and wine distributors, and give them all an opportunity to meet, exchange impressions, hear each other's needs and wants. And indeed, visitors swarmed to the stalls, thus proving that the event bears also educational importance, particularly because some passers-by could also make a stop and learn something new about wine.
