Following the desire to promote the local grape variety and Serbian wineries that produce wine with distinct muscat aromas, the Lady of Wine team will organize the Days of Serbian Tamjanika in the period from May 28th to May 30th, 2021, with accompanying workshops and wine tastings.

The first day of the event will be opened by Slavica Todić, the professor at the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade.

For wine lovers, the central event is the "Evening of Tamjanika", on Saturday, May 29th, from 5pm to 10 pm at Ušće in Belgrade, at the Copernicus Event Center, right across from the Museum of Contemporary Art.

During the event, Tamjanika wines from all parts of Serbia will be presented, starting from Župa, the region which takes credits for preserving Serbian Tamjanika despite numerous misfortunes, followed by Vranje, Central Serbia, Negotinska Krajina, all the way to South Banat. White Tamjanika will take the stage, but Black Tamjanika as well, which is produced in Negotin region. There, thanks to the monks of Bukovo monastery, it managed to survive until present day.

On the second day of the event, a new winemakers' unit within Women Entrepreneurship Section of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce will be presented.

Tamjanika is one of local varieties with high potential to promote Serbian wines abroad because it is admired at the first sip.
