After Beijing in 2018, the prestigious wine competition Concours Mondial de Bruxelles returns to Europe. The city hosting the competition in 2019 will be Aigle in Switzerland.
The final deadline for submitting wines to participate in the 26th edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is February 28, 2019. From May 2-5, wine judges from 50 countries will taste wines and award the best.
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of samples from Central and Eastern Europe, which is in line with the growing worldwide interest in wines from the region. This interest arose as a result of a large number of medals awarded to wines from Eastern Europe. In Serbia, Vinis winery from Jagodina traditionally wins the trophies and awards in this competition.
