Wine-makers of Banoštor village founded in 2003 the Vine-growers and Wine-makers' Club "St Tryphon" with an intention to help development of  wine-making and vine-growing on the territory of Beočin municipality. Since then, a big progress has been made- land covered by vineyards in Banoštor and other villages of Beočin municipality now exceeds 80 hectares, Banoštor has already earned a reputation of a village where good wines of Fruška Gora are produced, and wine culture is making rapid progress year after year - for example, wine bottled in plastic bottles of mineral water is becoming a rare sight, whilst the number of wine bottles with carefully designed labels is growing. Some wineries in the village  have already reached professional levels and they are creating a place for their wines on the Serbian wine scene.

This year, Banoštor Grape Days are held in the period from 31st August, 2012 till 2nd September, 2012. In this village, grapes ripe earlier than in other wine regions, primarily owing to its favourable position on the Danube riverside which brings about the effect of sun ray reflection on the water surface. For that reason, Banoštor Grape Days are the first wine event in Serbia which announces the beginning of the new grape harvest season. This event is organized by Beočin Municipality, the village of Banoštor and the Vine-growers and Wine-makers' Club "St Tryphone".

Diverse music/cultural programme is organized for visitors and guests during 3 days of festival, as well as wine evaluation and wine tasting, where the best wines will receive awards. We warmly recommend you to visit Banoštor during the coming weekend, because it is an opportunity to find wines from all local wineries exhibited at one place, thus witness the potential of Banoštor terroir.
