BIWC WILL BE HELD IN SEPTEMBER

Due to unstable epidemiological situation in the region, the organizers announced that this year's edition of the Balkans International Wine Competition has been postponed until autumn. The host city of this year's competition is Belgrade, and the new date of the competition is from September 9th to September 11th, 2020. Organizers also confirmed that the festival of Balkan wines will be held in the period from September 17th to September 19th in Sofia, on the plateau in front of the National Palace of Culture. It will also be an opportunity to announce the winners of this year's competition.

Galina Niforou, Director of BIWC, pointed out that "the Balkan Wine Competition and Festival is not just a competition or a wine event, but also an opportunity to bring together everyone involved in wine - producers, merchants, critics, winelovers. It is extremely important to emphasize that these are not just professional wine events, but also an opportunity for European wine audience to explore and taste new wines from our region. Although 2020 is full of challenges, we will be able to make this year's edition of BIWC even more glamorous and successful than previous editions thanks to our partners. "
