For the fourth year in a row, wine lovers around the world join in the global celebration of International Prokupac Day  on October 14th and share their love for our indigenous grape variety across social networks and at events in restaurants, wineries, cafes, wine bars and all other places.

This year, the central celebration i.e. The Prokupac Salon is taking place at Bitef Art Cafe (address: Metropolita Petra 8, Belgrade) from 4pm to 9pm. At Prokupac Salon, the wine consumers will be able to taste all significant Prokupac labels currently available on the market. Ticket for visitors costs 1000 dinars.

For professional and trade visitors, an opportunity to get acquainted with the current status and potential of Prokupac is a series of tastings / workshops under the common name Wine Identity, in which Igor Lukovic will more closely describe the current trend of Prokupac expansion across Serbia, with particular focus on vineyards outside the historical cradle of Prokupac - Župa. On the other hand, Tomislav Ivanović will take you to the vineyards of Župa and point out some of the top plots in Župa, which have been known as prime locations for grape growing, producing top quality wine with special character. Župa is still hiding many secrets, and now we are on the path of a better understanding of Prokupac from Župa. Wine Identity workshops are held at the Vine & Pleasure winery (address: 117, Bulevar oslobođenja) beginning at 10am.

The International Prokupac Day is celebrated on all social networks (official hashtags: #ProkupacDay #DanProkupca), as well as on educational programs and promotions in various venues ranging from Župa, Šumadija and Smederevo, to Novi Sad and Subotica, wherever Prokupac wines are enjoyed. And in order to justify the status of the International Prokupac Day, this year the Prokupac Day will be celebrated outside the borders of Serbia, in Budapest, Zagreb, Amsterdam, Zurich, Berlin...
